Deeper Stories Can Be Told

The myth is stay positive when you scrapbook.
No one wants to hear the tough stuff. Wrong!
The idea today is to scrap about something that has been difficult in your life so that generations to come can read about it and either laugh, understand or feel sorry for you!!!
The topic for this one is really easy for me...

"1994 saw the end of my dream career as an Aircraft Mechanic in the Royal Navy.
This brought dark days, depression & arguments a plenty.
Today & 20 years later. 18 tablets a day get me through
& I thanks my lucky stars that I can  celebrate life"

The "deeper" story and my feelings can be found inside the envelope.

I am linking this layout up with The Studio Challenges.
Their second challenge of the month is to create a layout with no photo.
Why not join in, you have until the 2nd of March if you fancy linking up.

  3. Wow hun, that is a deep page. I don't tend to do the dark days if I'm honest, I have too many of them but it's good to see that you can actually document them if I ever decide to.

  4. no words to add... i really like the way the words 'celebrate life' come through the page visually and make the deeper message a challenge to read... the page really reflects the sentiments and i think that is very clever... i look at the page and the positive words jump out at me, making the more difficult message almost disappear in between... i think that is kind of what you are saying... it is the celebrating which helps to hide the darker bits... well that is what i think any way... good page. jenx

  6. Scrapping the tough stuff, too, is important for the generations to come, I agree, but it's so hard! Credos to you for daring to do it and for sharing your story with us at The Studio Challenges - I just love how you have put together all the elements in this page!
