Hi and welcome from one part of Cheshire, where you have hopefully been ooh-ing and aah-ing over Jemma's kit, to another only 7 miles up the road.
September was an "odd" month for me to say the least.
I didn't get a lot of crafting done and really missed my forging friends.
By the time I got around to checking out the October Kit which
this month, our Queen,
had chosen to tempt us all with, it had disappeared into cyberspace.
Luckily, one or two of our super duper and well prepared Master Forgers had saved the images (phew)
and I was therefore able to shop my kit.
On first inspection, I knew I had quite a few of those patterned papers in my personal shop BUT
they were a bit flowery for me and I just don't "do" flowers!
So why did you buy them I hear you ask - well, could it be for the "B" sides?
So, I've already told you that I don't do flowers so, in my little scrappy world, I've turned them into dots, words, chevrons, zigzags - yes, you guessed it, anything but flowers!!!!
Just as I was putting my kit together, DH handed me some A4 clear plastic
"can you do anything with this?"
Having just seen the arrows with the dots on (did you see them?) and remembering those candy dots that we all once bought, "of course" came my reply and with that my little cutting machine jumped into action...

A smaller than normal kit for me this month which will hopefully be used up in no time at all.
(That statement may be answered later today when THIS post goes live!)

So before you head East a few thousand miles and drool over Leslie's blue box
I would love to know - do you "do" flowers?

A great use for those candy dots - and I love your acetate words - SO clever!!! Have fun with your lovely kit - I'd happily have swapped with you xxx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful-especially love your counterfeits! And no, I don't mind flowers at all! The soft, girlie style of the kit this month suits me well!
ReplyDeleteI have come to find out I don't do flowers to well, lol I still have the ones I pulled last month hanging around. I love what you did with your kit and may take away for what you have a bit for mine and just love those forgeries such a good idea
ReplyDeleteGorgeous kit, may try and join in myself this month Lesley!
ReplyDeleteThat is just so so clever .... Gorgeous kit
ReplyDeleteGreat looking kit, even sans the florals. I buy scrappy flowers more than I "do" scrappy flowers on pages. Hope to change that this month.
ReplyDeleteI adore those clear arrows with dots! A pretty kit which will be fun to use. I use floral paper but don't use flowers on pages very often..
ReplyDeleteFabulous kit!! Love the dots and arrows and geometrics... and how cool you made your own words - they look awesomely creative! I don't use florals either - but never say never - maybe this time I might give it a shot. One thing you wont find is flowers (actual flowers) in my work.
ReplyDeleteI really do love flower patterned paper. I have a rather large bin of dimensional flowers, which rarely make it to a page anymore. I really love your bright clear colors & your transparent embelli forgeries have me green with envy :D
ReplyDeletewow! LOVE how you have done the words & arrows, very clever. And your whole kit is gorgeous - I would very happily play with that kit :D
ReplyDeleteLOVE that kit! The words are amazing, feel the need to dig out my liquid pearls now :)
ReplyDeleteFabulous kit..I wish I could join in this month..but a little op is stopping me..but I will still love seeing what you come up with while I'm re-cuperating.
ReplyDeleteLoving those arrows with the candy dots! Also, a genius take on the script words.
ReplyDeletelove your kit-your papers are awesome! Was already inspired by your liquid pearls and since I am putting my kit together tonight, I did some of my own and they are drying as we speak!
ReplyDeleteLove your forges, especially the words. I may have to try this if I have the energy!
ReplyDeleteWhat a clever scrapper you are with your found items and how you take the inspiration and make it all your own. Yes. I'm late to the party of commenting and determined to catch up over the next few days. I have been so enjoying seeing your wonderful creations each and every day this month. Makes me happy. I have discovered that as much as I love flowery papers and all stuff feminine, I just can't seem to do physical flower embellies. I have some in an older kit I was trying to use last night and just couldn't!
