My First Digi

It's DigiDay on UKS and with lots of help from Kate Hadfield's tutorial I've managed my first digital layout.
I could never quite get "digital layout" - I mean, what's the point? Now I understand and will hopefully continue to play around with all those downloaded elements that sit on my hard drive!!

and following on from that one, I think I might be getting a tiny bit hooked on digis!

Dawn Inskip's Challenge, with a fab free download had me trying lots of different things to create another digi...

More UKS Challenges

Technique Thursday with Cal: Ways to Use it: Week 2 is all about using negatives. I had a few ideas but eventually came up with using my cricut to cut out different size hearts around where I would eventually put the picture. I used different papers to show through the negatives and I must admit I quite like what I've done.
See what you think...

The Time Traveller's Wife

So today I've been time travelling on UKS as part of the Time Traveller's Wife Pre-Crop Challenge.

I think I looked at most of the previous cyber crop links in the menu and eventually the choice was between two.

The Stuntman by Gertie from April 2008 Oscars Cyber Crop

and

Bow Street by Sarah Palmer from April 2010 Monopoly Cyber Crop

I hope you can tell by the picture which one I chose although I will be scraplifting the other one too.

Now onto Technique Thursday with Cal: Ways to Use it: Week 2

Cal's Pre Cyber Crop Class

So it's my first time as a Cyber Cropper and I really am enjoying it.

I loved Cal's Class A Perfect Day over on UKS

Cals' page is just my type. Being a simple kind of person, I like the simple things (I don't do fussy)

Here's my take on Cal's LO

I've also had a go at the challenges so far...

Technique Thursday with Cal: CC Pre-Crop challenge (Ways to Use it: 1)
which was to make a project using tags ...

I've completed Beanpole's A Patchwork of Poison
I didn't think this was really my cup of tea due to lots of cutting but it's surprising how enjoyable it was doing something different for a change...

And finally (for now) the Birthday Card set as the first challenge as UKS is celebrating its 10th birthday...

I still have my ATCs to make for the Team Explorer ATC Swap and I need to use my Mystery Kit although I can't post a pic of that one just yet!!!

Back to 5 a day!

... pages that is!

The last couple of crops I've only managed two pages but today I was back to my usual 5!

OK so some are very basic but, as I've said before, I LIKE simple.

Really enjoyed the crop today, apart from the screaming kids next door, and looking forward to the next one already...

I'm an EXPLORER!

UKScrappers are celebrating their 10th birthday with a Now We are Ten! 10th Anniversary CyberCrop.
There are a couple of pre-crop challenges and also fun & games to join in with too.

It's my first ever CyberCrop so not really sure what I've let myself in for but it'll keep me busy and hopefully get me inspired again.

I've been randomly added to Team Explorer with Cal as team leader and she's set a pre-crop, team only challenge to make a project (any project) using part of a map
I got my thinking cap on and came up with...

Now, onto the main pre-crop challenge which is to make a birthday card using only red, white and blue.
No mojo for that one just yet!!
