I can't quite believe how tired I am.
The weekend has certainly caught up with me.
DH, before he left for work this morning, told me to do nothing today apart from "ME" stuff so that's exactly what I'm doing.
I've painted my nails, caught up with some programmes that have been on the planner forever and now I'm in my scrap room contemplating doing some scrapping.
So, having not quite decided yet, here's one I did earlier using June's CKCB kit "I Pressed the Button"
I don't normally like fussy papers like the one I've used as my background, but with the photo being in B&W, I though I could get away with it.
I love how this photo of me (captured just a few years ago!) shows how I adored -and still do- Farley's Rusks.
I can probably say that they are still one of my favourite food and I am often found buying boxes of them when Asda have their "Baby" event.
Is there anything that you still like from your childhood?
Care to share?
You certainly can get away with such a bold paper with a black and white photo. The paper is gorgeous and the off set polaroid frame sets off the photo nicely. I'm not familiar with Rusks...is that a type of cookie? Sweet layout.
ReplyDeleteIt's kind of a baby biscuit/cookie. I love mine mashed in milk with a little sugar!!!
DeleteThat paper is a perfect backdrop for a B/W photo....and what a sweet one! Love the clusters of details....but do NOT love rusks, LOL I really thought I did until I tried one recently and decided that they now taste of cardboard ;)) I still have a penchant for childhood sweets, I was thrilled when they brought Tootie Frooties back!!
ReplyDeleteMmmm Tootie Frooties - do you remember Spangles?
DeleteThat looks brilliant! I still love a bounce on a Space Hopper (remember them?). I had the orange one with the funny face. Then, I could bounce on it. Now, I roll back and end up with my legs in the air. Mind you, I am now as fat as the space hopper and tend to have a glass of wine in hand when 'bouncing, so maybe that explains why I can't use it properly any more... Happy scrapping, jenx
ReplyDeleteLol Jen - I need to see you on that Space Hopper after a glass of wine or two. I had the exact same Space Hopper :)
Deleteoops should it have been food? ok... opal fruits (I will not call them starburst!) ;-) jenx
ReplyDeleteI still call Snickers, Marathon!!!
DeleteAdorable layout :) Not from my childhood but when the kids were young I would buy them Goodies organic vegtable crisps. They were like 'wotsits' but made form carrots or tomatos. They hated them but I loved them! I still buy them when offer now lol.
ReplyDeleteLove buying things that nobody else likes as I get to eat them ALL!!!
DeleteYou're so right, it works so well because of the b/w photo :)
ReplyDeleteI love that paper and it looks FAB with a black and white photo. Your layout is lovely.
