Bundle of Layers

It certainly has started getting a lot colder in these parts. The jumpers and layers have come out of Summer hibernation and the layers of clothes are keeping me warm.
 That's where Challenge #3
over at the Counterfeit Kit Blog comes in...

Bundle Up
asks us to dress up our project for the crisp air by using lots of layers

and I had the perfect photos of my girl on an Autumn day from
a couple of years ago when we had a day trip to London.

The layers on my layout have indeed been piled on and under.
I used my best friend Cameo to cut out the background title
and then just went for it...

How many layers will you pile on?

Paper Scrap Forgeries

If you saw my Kit Reveal on November 1st, I left a couple of question marks next to these two
parts of our  chosen November Kit

At that point I had absolutely no idea what or how I was going to forge either of these items.
I trawled my brain (which didn't take long)
and had a little go.

I dug out my scrap box...

chose a few to work with...

and with a trusty trimmer and a couple of punches and a little bit of the washi from my kit,
I made some tags...

I then opened a new Word document and by adding some flowers and words,
I created some strips that may (or may not) appear on my layouts!

What have you forged? Link Up to show us!

A Walk in the Park

Here I am, last but hopefully not least on the Counterfeit Kit November Reveal Blog Hop.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing all the Master Forgers' and Guest Designer,  Dawn Wilson's
different takes on the chosen one this month
which I am sure you are well aware by now is the
October 2016 kit from Cocoa Daisy, “City Park”

Here are my side by side comparisons...

I chose a stencil over a stamp this month and I'm already wondering if I'll actually use it!

and I added in a few little extras, just because I can :)

So there we have our November reveal, how will your kit look?
We would love to see your creations over at Mr Linky

CH#3

over at the Counterfeit Kit Blog this month is all about
"Playing Dress-Up" with your layout.

My background paper was already pretty dressed up so
just adding a few embellies and a bit of bling pretty much did it for me!

This month I DID it!!
I actually used the stamp that I had put in my kit and a fair few people at the retreat
(where I created my layout) used it too!

How will you dress up your project, make sure you LINK-UP so we can all see!

My First Time!

Good morning!

A few weekends ago I packed up my kit bags, loaded the car and headed down to Gloucestershire for my first time on the Bloggers' Weekend Retreat organised by my friend and fellow Master Forger Jemma.

Another first for me was a little pre-retreat Pass the Page scrapping organised by Julie

Thank you Julie for your explanation as, although I had heard of Pass the Page before, I had never taken part so for the benefit of those in the same boat as me, the idea is that the first scrapper creates a layout and sends a photo of said layout to the next person on the list who then takes inspiration/scraplifts to create their own layout before sending a photo to the next person and so on.

At the retreat, the layout were laid out in sequence and it was quite intriguing to see which parts stayed, which parts skipped a layout or two (how did we do that?) and which parts just never made it!

If you want to see how the first layout by Julie morphed into the last layout by Jo then you may want to follow the running order by starting with the creator, Julie.

Here is my layout which followed on from Claudia's. I used my Cameo to create the circle cutout and printed my journalling before I started (we all know how much I hate my handwriting!)

So there we have it, isn't it amazing how we all interpret things differently.

It always intrigues me and I'll never know the answer!!!

Cupboard Crafts

If you saw my kit reveal on Saturday you may have noticed a couple of forgeries.
When I saw the kit for the first time I was quite excited about the forgeries that I could create.

I dug around in a cupboard or two and found these make up sponges which, when cut in half and stuck to stamp blocks, worked perfectly to create one of the papers.
The coloured one I really didn't like however the monochrome one turned out a lot nicer...

I then used the same idea for another 12x12 and also dotted the ink around using
a cotton bud...
Another idea was to use different sized circle punches, cut the "punch" in half
and randomly stick them onto a piece of card stock.
I prefer this than the coloured attempt above!

One of our members has already created some fabulous forgeries, why not hop over and see what Kate created and don't forget the other Master Forgers' Forgeries

October Reveal

October has arrived in a total whirlwind and here in the UK it won't be long before those
dark nights draw in and the central heating will be whirring at max chat!
BUT
as I write my October Reveal post the sun is still shining and I'm yet to even turn the heating on - a total first for this nesh Master Forger.

Master Forger Susan has chosen

It is a delightful kit to forge and scrap with which (I think)
has both a Summery and Autumnal feel to it.
I love the choice of our Counterfeit Kit Inspiration this month.
The colours, the design and the shapes are all something I would actually buy but we don't DO that, we forge and create our own!

Before i show you mine,
have you said "hello" to our Guest Designer Kelly Barron?
She was at the top of the hop (HERE) if you want to start at the beginning.

Here is my quick pick of the items I chose to include in my kit this month.
The choice was so HUGE and I was a little overwhelmed at first
so...
as I've been keeping my kits small lately, I continued in the same fashion as this encourages me to create and use up said kit instead of being left with half used up boxes of bits that never see daylight again.

Here are my side by side comparisons with a couple of forgeries which
you can see on the fourth...
And here is it

Leslie's BLUE BOX is up next and I'm sure you'll be in for a real treat...
