We Showed Them!!!

Traveling down the Pacific Highway last year I'd booked us into a wooden cabin on a campsite for the night. It was very basic in the fact that just beds were provided, no bedding, no toilet, no nothing else apart from a bbq and a fire pit outside.
A cute, rustic little place and very quiet until our neighbours and (I think) the whole of their town pitched up.
Well, they lit their bbq and had a feast quite quickly whilst we sat watching in envy supping a beer or two.
After a bit of dutch courage we got out read newspaper and a box of matches out of the car and desperately prayed that we wouldn't look stupid in front of the experts.
We had no cooking utensils, plates - zilch, nada, nothing but
WE DID IT!!!
We got the fire and the bbq lit, cooked our food and toasted our marshmallows (and feet) on the lovely warm fire.

My page today if for CKCB Challenge #2...

Challenge #2: Let's see how well YOU do mixing patterns, colors and scales.  Use 3 or more patterned papers on your project.

I used my CKCB March kit to complete this page as I still had plenty of patterned papers left!!!

We Are Evil!!!

Whilst on holiday last year, we visited Universal Studios in Hollywood.

It was such a hot day, so when we came across Coke Soak (and worked out what id did) we didn't think that the unsuspecting public would mind getting a bit wet!!!

OMG, what fun Imogen and I had, pressing buttons to soak people. There was a lovely looking chair that couples would sit on to have their photo taken without realising that they would have to walk around with a wet bum for the next half an hour. We were in absolute stitches.
Occasionally, somebody would look at us with a knowing smile but that didn't stop the evilness unravelling further. At one point a lady walked through trying to retrieve her daughter. Unfortunately for her, the green bucket had just filled up and we pressed the button just as she was right underneath it.
Bingo!!!

I originally bought this paper because I love coke (of the diet kind) but it just happened to fit perfectly with this photo.

A Lovely Day

I love my girl so much.
I've had such a lovely day with her today.

I got flowers, a handmade card, a poem and money to buy the new Michael Buble cd when it comes out.
The poem made me cry.

Beautiful

My daughter is such a delight and I am so proud to be her Mummy :)

Wrong Time of Day

I've recently been buying lots of Groupon vouchers for various things.
I tend to do this now and again and end up trying to use the vouchers up all at once because they have expiry dates.
So today, having only bought the voucher two days ago, I took Imogen for Afternoon Tea at 11o'clock this morning.
Sandwiches, scones, cakes and coffee. After sandwiches and a scone, I was far too full for a cake so Imogen ate all four! I don't know where she puts them!

A Nice Surprise

Don't you just love a surprise?

I took part in February's Have I Got Scrap For You over on UKS where every month Niki posts a challenge to complete.

HERE is February's and you can see my entry HERE

I was randomly generated and Niki said
"I'll pop a little something in the post to you"

I certainly didn't expect this. Love that background stamp and will love having a play.
So thank you Niki :)
Why take a look at the March challenge and join in?

My 6th layout using my CKCB Kit is very bright but suits their friendship perfectly!!!

The flower in the right hand corner of the photo is a hair grip.
I'm always on the look out for cheap scrapbooking alternatives!

#5

Just a quick post because I'm off out on a course tonight - a very boring course at that!

This is layout #5 using my CKCB March Kit
I love this photograph of Nick and Imogen. They always pull silly faces when they know I'm taking a photograph so this one captures them very naturally.

I'm currently toying with the idea of making a name badge for my retreat next weekend but with no inspiration I just don't think it's going to happen!

Funny Guys

Nick and Imogen have some very silly moments when we're on holiday or out and about. They absolutely adore each other and even though they do wind me up sometimes, I wouldn't change them for the world.
I love these pair (well not his feet) with all of my heart.
