Kate Spade Inspired

Well I didn't know whether to run and hide 

as I’d never heard of

Kate Spade!

Oh don’t you just love Google!

Here’s what I found…

She's a New Yorker and designs

handbags, women’s clothing, jewelry and accessories 

amongst other things for the home.

I decided to look at the "home' section first but, 

apart from the diaries,

I couldn't find anything to suit

 so off I went in search of something else

on Pinterest where all the pictures are in one place!

Well, I didn’t realise that a lot of the scrapbook card quotes are actually Kate Spade and then I was torn between choosing a quote or one of her divine watches to be inspired by – oh, choices, choices!

Eventually I decided on this gorgeous iPhone cover

and got to work on my layout.

Firstly, I created that Kate Spade background by cutting my papers at the correct angles as I had done with one of my forgeries earlier this month (spooky!)

I used most of my Forgeries on the Fourth

(although my letters bled slightly!)

to create my layout which highlights 

how excited she was when her 

Full Driving Licence arrived in the post!

A Few Forgeries...

...to share today for Forgeries on the Fourth

over at the Counterfeit Kit Blog.

The first item I wanted to forge was this paper as it was the easiest!

 I took 3 papers, cut them at the correct angles and stuck down - simples!

I then decided to use my vellum and some dies to create my forgery of...

I love forging as you can make these things to suit your layouts ...

Next was two different options for the alphas and first was starting from scratch 

by cutting alphas from two different papers, cutting one in half and sticking on top.

I'm not keen on the outcome of this one but I'm sure it could be perfected

Then, with the use of painter's tape and a promarker

I got to work and decided this way was best...

Yay, you made it!!! I'm last on the Counterfeit Kit Blog Hop

Master Forger Margie has chosen the "Maggie" kit from Felicity Jane

which reminds me of summery days and ice cream!

Although I love the kit, it is rather large so I have numbered the items I will be counterfeiting

to create my kit...

Here are my choices for 1-12

(It was quite difficult to capture the colours in my photographs

 so I'm hoping my full kit photo below will help you see them in a better light)

And then I found this beauty (well there's 4 in total) in the charity shop 

and thought they could possibly replace the doilies in the kit!
