#5

Just a quick post because I'm off out on a course tonight - a very boring course at that!

This is layout #5 using my CKCB March Kit
I love this photograph of Nick and Imogen. They always pull silly faces when they know I'm taking a photograph so this one captures them very naturally.

I'm currently toying with the idea of making a name badge for my retreat next weekend but with no inspiration I just don't think it's going to happen!

Funny Guys

Nick and Imogen have some very silly moments when we're on holiday or out and about. They absolutely adore each other and even though they do wind me up sometimes, I wouldn't change them for the world.
I love these pair (well not his feet) with all of my heart.

Oh Flip!

Why do I always forget to take a photo?

Today I haven't really been motivated to do much but knew I needed to make a Mother's Day card for my wonderful Mum so I could get it in the post.
After being taken out for lunch by my hubby (I did have to hint) I finally got around to starting it at about 3pm. I was really chuffed with how it turned out - I really don't like making cards too much these days - but yes, I forgot to photograph the end product.

Instead, my 3rd CKCB kit layout will have to do.
I created this page at my crop on Saturday

I love this photograph taken through my daughter's legs. The paintwork was stencilling gone wrong but, warts and all, thought I would share!

All Her Dreams Came True

Well I can't wait to scrap this photo taken yesterday.
My daughter finally met her idol. She has been so excited for months and yesterday all her dreams came true. She was so nervous, bless her and even I had butterflies in my tummy for her.
I really enjoyed my girly day out with her too.
On the way home we were talking about how terrible some of the girls were behaving and I pointed out that I'm glad she wasn't like them.
"You've brought me up too well, Mum"
I had to hide my tears.

Back to scrapping and LO#2 using my March CKCB Kit.
No matter how many gorgeous boys or men she meets in her life

She Will Always Need Her Daddy

Scrapped

Yesterday was "crop"day" and we all had a good laugh and yummy goodies whilst enjoying our passion.

I managed three layouts and without realising, they ALL comply with CKCB's first challenge of the month which is to create a layout with no journaling,
As you all probably know by now, I hate journaling on the front of my page but over the last couple of month's, due to a kick up the proverbial from someone who will remain nameless, I have been trying my hardest to overcome my fear.
However, yesterday, I got away with it!!!!

I will share just one layout today as I have a very busy week so may have to "blog cheat" for a day or two.

I'm off to Manchester today to share a very exciting day with my daughter (well, for her anyway)
She is going to meet her idol today and I think it will be the one time where she will be speechless so I really need to be there to see it and capture the moment.

Back to the layout...

We came across these huge machines on our road trip last year, one was made out of old license plates and another out of chains.
I sat for about half an hour yesterday trying to come up with a title.
"He gets my motor running" was a suggestion from Gillian. A great title but I didn't want hubby to get the wrong idea when he saw it!!!
"Scrapped" popped into my head (eventually) and it seemed like a perfect choice!!!

Heaven IS a Place on Earth

Good Morning!

Today is crop day. I love my monthly visit to Haslington Crop.
My Counterfeit Kit is ready and my bags are packed.

Before I go I just wanted to share a page I put together yesterday.
Cal from Heartfully Yours added a surprise challenge on UKS yesterday.

It's Friday !!!!!!!!!!! (CHALLENGE)

.... its not snowing, its not raining but it is the start of Spring ! Whoop Whoop !!!
Soooooooo, as we are approaching the weekend, and as I am going to have a scrapbooky weekend, what better way to get motivated than a challenge -AND A PRIZE !!!!!!!!!!

Challenge: Non-photo layout

Thats it ! A layout with no photographs ... seriously. Post a link to your layouts in this thread from now until Sunday midnight. I'll put all the names in a bobbly hat and I will ask the hubster to pick out a name on Monday to win a Scrapbooking prize.

Thats it ! Easy peasy lemon squeasy ... who's in ?

I couldn't resist. I'd had a business card sitting on my desk for months of a scrapbooking shop we came across in Long Beach, California. I knew I didn't want to throw it away but didn't know what I was going to do with it, until now, that it...

Oh how I wish I could open a shop like this...

March IS Longer!

So, once again this month I am taking part in the Counterfeit Kit Challenge.

Last month I put together a huge kit and only ran out just  a few days ago having made quite a few pages and a card.

Having a kit to work from makes life so much easier for me as I don't spend half my time looking for bits of stash. Maybe you could try it too?

The CKCB kit that has inspired the lovely ladies for March is

It is HUGE and even bigger than my Counterfeit Kit last month.

Just take a look at all the lovely little bits and bobs...
